On April 27, 2026, the Bakshasaray Reception House (42 Timiryazev St., Almaty) will host the international trade and economic cooperation forum “China (Foshan) – Kazakhstan (Almaty, Almaty Region)”, bringing together business representatives, government agencies, and industry associations from Kazakhstan and China.

The forum will serve as a platform for business interaction in the fields of construction, industry, and logistics. The event will bring together business representatives, government agencies, and industry associations to discuss practical mechanisms for developing trade and economic interaction and industrial cooperation.
The main focus of the forum is the transition from general declarations to practical business deals and industrial partnerships.
As noted by the project leader and Director of World Silk Way LLP, Azat Asembay: “Today, the market demands practical solutions, direct contacts, and joint projects; therefore, the key goal of the forum is to establish concrete commercial ties between manufacturers and distributors of the two countries.”
Against the backdrop of growing trade turnover and Kazakhstan's strengthening role as a transit and manufacturing hub between China and Central Asia, participants will discuss how to build sustainable supply chains and reduce barriers in mutual trade.
Special attention will be paid to the construction industry – one of the most dynamically developing segments. Discussions will focus on production localization, investment attraction, and the joint manufacturing of building materials, equipment, and engineering solutions, as well as identifying promising niches for joint production and business scaling.
A dedicated segment of the program will feature B2B meetings, following which the signing of cooperation agreements is expected.
Participants will also discuss the role of Almaty and the Almaty Region as an investment and logistics hub, as well as the development of new transport routes between China and Kazakhstan.
As a reminder, the “China (Foshan) – Kazakhstan (Almaty, Almaty Region)” Trade and Economic Cooperation Forum is part of the business ecosystem of the international industry exhibition HomeTech & Electra, which will be held in Almaty from August 6 to 8, 2026.
